The wise asses are useful, and have to be properly managed. Easy come, easy go, especially since by the time you declare yourself Emperor, they will have probably pissed off many, if not all, kings. When they have enough, they will leave, but without walls to call their own, they will not take anything with them. Use them, never give them more than a single village, and watch as they grow to hate you.
The assholes are going to eventually betray you. I call them respectively the assholes (quarrelsome, merciless, and debauched) the wise asses (martial and cunning) and the saints (good-natured and upstanding) The remaining two are very easy to keep happy, as long as they have a single fief, and no enemies of theirs are in the faction. Two others are manageable, with a lot of tender love and care. Of those seven, three are total and utter assholes, whom you cannot keep happy in Native without either throwing money at them, or slowing down to a crawl, and babysitting them. There are seven lord personalities in game, not counting ennobled companions, who can have additional personalities.
